The high-efficiency tray is a valve tray for tray columns. Guided float valves reduce dead zones on the tray and increase throughput – an upgrade for existing distillation trays.
A horizontal plate inside a tray column, with valves that let gas bubble up through the liquid on the tray. Many trays are stacked in one column.
Choose This Product When
- Your column is a tray column
- You need more throughput
- You want fewer dead zones on the trays
Product Description
Trays are horizontal plates installed at intervals in a tray column. The high-efficiency tray has trapezoidal guided float valves that reduce dead zones on the tray and greatly increase the throughput.
Also called a high-performance tray. Planning a tray replacement? Send us your column and tray drawings.
How It Works
Liquid flows across each tray while gas rises through the valves and bubbles through the liquid. Valve trays open and close with the gas flow, so they work well over a wide range of loads.
